Entries out for Nyirád curtain-raiser

The full entry lists have today been published for Euro RX of Hungary at Nyirád Racing Center on 29-30 April – the opening round of the 2023 FIA European Rallycross Championship campaign.

In Euro RX3, a 13-strong line-up includes a quartet of Audi A1s from multiple champions Volland Racing – who will additionally service the similar car of Hungary’s Zsolt Szíjj ‘Jolly’ – fellow homegrown aces Ferenc Ficza, Róbert Répási and Balázs Körmöczi, 2022 giant-killer Jan Černý in his little Škoda Citigo and Norwegian teenager Jens Hvaal, who made such an impression on his way to the runner-up spoils on his series debut at the Nürburgring just a few months ago.

Tickets can be purchased here (Hungarian) and here (English), with the full entry lists below.

The headlining Euro RX1 field is a star-studded affair, from defending champion Anton Marklund – who will carry the coveted #1 on his SET Promotion car – to his predecessor, 2021 title-winner Andreas Bakkerud, who inked a last-minute agreement earlier this week to take part in an Audi S1.

Other big-hitters include 2022 runner-up and former Super1600 (now Euro RX3) champion Jānis Baumanis, rising star Patrick O’Donovan – the reigning and youngest-ever British Rallycross Champion – popular home hero Tamás Kárai and Enzo Ide, inarguably last season’s biggest improver and a top three championship finisher. Indeed, no fewer than eight of last year’s leading ten protagonists are back to do battle again.
