Entries open for Euro RX and RX2e

Registrations are now officially open for competitors wishing to participate in the FIA RX2e Championship or FIA European Rallycross Championship (Euro RX1 and Euro RX3) in 2023.

RX2e is heading into its third campaign, following two seasons of close and exciting racing with its cutting-edge electric cars, developed by Spanish electro-mobility specialist QEV Technologies. Current World RX ace Klara Andersson is a high-profile graduate.

Last year, the championship attracted interest from the likes of guest stars Aksel Lund Svindal, Catie Munnings, Nick Heidfeld and Carlos Checa – all of whom took to the track in the single-spec series – while teenage hotshot Viktor Vranckx ensured the title remained in Belgium as he followed in the footsteps of his countryman and mentor Guillaume De Ridder, inaugural RX2e champion in 2021.

In 2023, RX2e becomes a team-based championship, with private outfits able to buy or lease cars and adapt the bodywork; QEV continues as single supplier. Performance will increase from 250kW to 270kW, with a ‘boost’ up to 350kW.

The European Championship was contested by no fewer than 70 drivers last year – 41 in Euro RX1 and 29 in Euro RX3 – with Anton Marklund and Kobe Pauwels deservedly lifting the laurels in their respective series, marking the former’s third Euro RX crown and the latter’s first. In evidence of the ultra-competitive nature of both categories, some 16 protagonists reached the rostrum over the course of the campaign.

The 2023 Euro RX season will get underway at Nyirád in Hungary on 29-30 April, with RX2e racing into action for the first time in Hell, Norway on 17-18 June. Entries can be registered here (RX2e) and here (Euro RX).
