Tickets on sale for Nyirád

Tickets are now on sale for the opening round of the 2022 FIA European Rallycross Championship at Hungary’s Nyirád Racing Center on 21-22 May.

Tickets are now on sale for the opening round of the 2022 FIA European Rallycross Championship at Hungary’s Nyirád Racing Center on 21-22 May.

Nyirád played host to Euro RX on seven occasions between 2006 and 2013, yielding victories for drivers of the calibre of Kenneth Hansen, Sverre Isachsen, Timmy Hansen, Andreas Bakkerud, Timur Timerzyanov and Reinis Nitišs – many of them going on to win the title after winning in Hungary.

Last year, five Hungarian drivers competed on the FIA World Rallycross Championship package, with podium finishes for Krisztián Szabó in World RX, Tamás Kárai in Euro RX1 and Zsolt Szíjj ‘Jolly’ in Euro RX3 – and many more are expected to join the fray to vie for victory at Nyirád this spring.

The old-school ‘Red Cauldron’ – one of the longest and most traditional rallycross tracks on the continent – will stage the curtain-raiser in both European Championships, and tickets are on sale here starting from just 5,500 Ft (approx. €15).

Children aged five and under are admitted free of charge, with half-price admission for children aged between six and 14. Grandstand seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and a number of VIP packages are also available, offering a dedicated grandstand, parking area and shuttle service as well as all-day hospitality in the VIP tent.

‘Early Bird’ pre-sale prices will apply until 23:59 CET on Sunday, 15 May.

All spectators must adhere to the prevailing Covid guidelines in force in Hungary at the time of the event.
