The FIA European Rallycross Championship will return to Essay for the first time in 13 years next month, as the popular Orne venue prepares to host the curtain-raising contest in the 2024 Euro RX1, Euro RX3 and FIA RX2e Championship campaigns.
The full entry lists for Euro RX1 and Euro RX3 will be published on 16 May, but a number of big names have already been announced, including two-time French Rallycross Champion Fabien Pailler – Euro RX1 championship runner-up in 2021 – and former French Junior Rallycross Champion Dylan Dufas, Euro RX3’s newest event-winner.
The Euro RX1 grid will additionally include highly-rated young Norwegian privateer Sivert Svardal – who triumphed on home soil in Hell last summer – reigning Euro RX3 Champion Damian Litwinowicz and Aleš Fučík in a car previously piloted by multiple FIA World Rallycross Champion, Johan Kristoffersson.
There are also a brace of father-and-son pairings in the shape of Pascal and Jérémy Lambec and Attila and Márk Mózer, while front-runner Nils Volland and Portugal’s André Sousa have confirmed their participation in Euro RX3.
