With just three days to go until permanent entries close on 29 April – and a further ten days beyond that to make round-by-round registrations for the curtain-raising contest at Essay in France on 8-9 June – all signs point to another fiercely competitive campaign.
Already announced in Euro RX1 are Damian Litwinowicz – stepping up from his title-winning Euro RX3 season in 2023 to tackle the European Championship’s top-tier for the first time – father-and-son Attila and Márk Mózer and former ‘Rookie of the Year’ Sivert Svardal, who is eyeing a championship challenge after achieving his breakthrough victory last summer in Hell. Fellow giant-killing privateer Máté Benyó has similarly indicated his desire to return.
Fast Frenchman Fabien Pailler has confirmed that he will contest at least two rounds – Essay and Montalegre – and he will be joined on home soil by Dylan Dufas in Euro RX3, with the Caen native having won the category’s most recent event at Germany’s Estering last August. Dufas is fired-up to repeat that result in June, but he will need to overcome Nils Volland – the highest-placed championship returnee – amongst others if he is to seal back-to-back successes.
