Former Euro RX event-winner Dufas targeting full season in 2026

Dylan Dufas on-track in Euro RX3

Dylan Dufas – whose most recent FIA European Rallycross Championship appearance yielded a first-time win – has set his sights on a maiden full campaign in Euro RX3 in 2026 as part of a two-car effort.

Since lifting the laurels in the French Rallycross Championship’s ‘Junior’ category in 2019, Dufas has established himself as a regular front-runner on the domestic scene, and last month finished second during a one-off outing across the border in the Belgian Championship at Mettet.

The 29-year-old Caen, Normandy native made his debut in Euro RX3 at Höljes in 2021 – scoring points in both of the events he contested that season – prior to rejoining the fray at Germany’s Estering in 2023, where an impressive performance behind the wheel of his Renault Clio was rewarded with victory in only his third start at international level, following disqualification for on-the-road winner, Jens Hvaal.

He is now eager to test his mettle on a more consistent basis in the new-look series in 2026, as he forecasts a busy winter ahead fettling and fine-tuning Team Dufas’ potent pair of Clios.

“We know we already have a very solid base, but we still have some upgrades to carry out in order to exploit the cars’ full potential,” revealed Dufas – who clinched the crown in the Clio Ice Trophy two years ago – in an interview with Pure Rallycross. “That will clearly require some budget, but I’m convinced it will enable us to take the fight to the Volland Racing Audis.

“Since we are targeting a programme in the European Championship, it goes without saying that we want to give ourselves the best chance possible by preparing to the best of our ability, so both cars will be fully stripped down over the winter. We’ll be starting again from scratch, with a comprehensive re-prep programme in the pipeline. We’re going to fit new gearboxes, and the engines will be entirely rebuilt. We won’t be compromising in any area.”

The 2026 FIA European Rallycross Championship will get underway at Rīga’s Biķernieku trase in Latvia on 9-10 May, followed by rounds at Nyirád in Hungary (30-31 May), Höljes in Sweden (4-5 July), Mondello Park in Ireland (18-19 July), Lohéac in France (29-30 August) and Lousada in Portugal (12-13 September).
