A keen skier in his childhood and teenage years, rising star Raül Ferré began his motorsport career in hillclimbing in France in the summer of 2018 behind the wheel of a power-limited Speed Car – impressively reaching the rostrum on his debut.
That brought him to the attention of the Automobile Club of Andorra (ACA), who enlisted him as part of its Young Drivers’ Programme. In 2019, Ferré entered the ice-based GSeries Andorra – proceeding to clinch the CrossCar category crown at the first time of asking, and subsequently the runner-up spoils in Catalunya’s Hillclimb Championship.
The Andorran went one better the following year, winning his class in both the Catalan and Spanish Hillclimb Championships. He remained a front-runner in the latter series in 2021.
In 2022, Ferré finished second in the GSeries’ GIAND category behind FIA European Rally Championship event-winner Nil Solans, prior to making his FIA RX2e Championship debut in the season curtain-raiser at Höljes. In an impressive maiden campaign, he progressed to the final in every round, en route to fifth position in the overall standings.
