The most active female racer in the discipline, Mandie August competed in the German Rallycross Championship from 2008 to 2011, twice placing third in the standings in the Super1600 category.

In parallel with this, she participated in the same class in the FIA European Rallycross Championship from 2008 to 2015. Behind the wheel of first a Volkswagen Polo and subsequently a Škoda Fabia, she reached the semi-final stage on several occasions and scored points in more than half of the events she contested in her final campaign.

After clinching the Rallycross Challenge Europe crown in 2016 in an Audi S3 – and piloting the same car to two wins from three starts in the German Rallycross Championship – August returned to Euro RX but in the headlining Supercar category in 2017, initially in the Audi before switching midway through to a SEAT Ibiza, always under the ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport banner. A one-off outing in Sweden in 2018 was followed by a full season in 2019, yielding a brace of semi-final appearances and 12th spot in the overall points table.

The German improved upon that to claim 11th in the classification in 2020, progressing through to the semi-final in both rounds of the truncated campaign. She then made her World Championship bow in the double-header season finale in Barcelona, in so doing becoming only the second female ever to start a World RX event. She returned to the Catalan circuit for the 2021 curtain-raiser, prior to embarking upon a full campaign of Euro RX1 competition – advancing to the semi-final two times out of four.
