Per Magne Egebø-Svardal won his first rallycross title in his very first season competing in the discipline, piloting a Mk1 Volkswagen Golf to glory in the Norwegian Junior Rallycross Championship in 2017.
The following year, he stepped up to the senior series, achieving fourth spot in the overall standings in the Super1600 category with a Peugeot 206. The Norwegian replicated that result in both 2019 and 2020, picking up several pieces of silverware in the process while adding to his CV with third place in the Norwegian Hillclimb Championship in the latter of those campaigns.
After trading his Peugeot for an Audi A1 – which he built with his father – Egebø-Svardal continued to contest the domestic rallycross series in 2021, simultaneously making his Euro RX3 debut at Höljes and going on to reach the semi-final for the first time at Spa-Francorchamps two months later. He returned for four further rounds in 2022, piloting his distinctive ‘wingless chariot’ to the final in the Nyirád curtain-raiser and the semi-final everywhere else.
