Nuno Miguel Da Costa Araújo began competing in rallycross on the domestic scene in 2016, piloting a Peugeot 106 in Portugal’s SuperNational class. He switched to a Super1600 (now RX3) Citroën C2 in 2017 – making his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut at Montalegre the same year – before changing again to a Škoda Fabia for 2019.
Araújo marked his Euro RX return on home soil in the 2021 season finale behind the wheel of an ex-Volland Racing Audi A1, spearheading the Portuguese charge with a fifth-place finish before signing up to a full campaign in the series with Volland in 2022.
