Marius Solberg Hansen began racing in 2013 – before he had even reached double figures – and has increasingly been carving out an impressive reputation in the sport, with his versatility yielding success in a variety of disciplines.

The Norwegian contested Britain’s MSA Junior Rallycross Championship in 2018, winning the curtain-raiser at Silverstone and achieving multiple podium finishes, only for his promising title bid to be undone by a raft of late-season penalties that relegated him to sixth in the overall standings.

Solberg Hansen went on to enjoy a breakthrough campaign in 2021, clinching the Norwegian crown in both rallycross and circuit racing and sealing the runner-up spoils in the domestic hillclimbing series.

He simultaneously made his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut in the second round of the Euro RX3 campaign at Höljes in Sweden, turning heads with a brace of top five qualifying performances and only narrowly missing out on progressing through to the final in the 21-strong field behind the wheel of his ex-Marius Bermingrud Škoda Fabia. He was subsequently awarded the prestigious Petter Solberg Scholarship by the Norwegian Motorsport Association, in recognition of his rising star status.

Returning to Höljes the following year, Solberg Hansen stunned with a peerless display to register his maiden European victory, leading the final from lights-to-flag.
