Janno Ligur made his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut in 2012, with a point-scoring finish in the Super1600 (now Euro RX3) category at Kouvola. The following year, he piloted his Ligur Racing Škoda Fabia to three semi-final appearances from four starts, improving upon that to reach the semi-final stage in every event he contested in 2014, claiming a podium in Belgium and seventh in the end-of-season classification despite not entering all rounds.
2015 marked the Estonian’s maiden full campaign in the championship, while a further two rostrum visits in 2017 propelled him to a career-high sixth in the standings. He pocketed another podium in Riga in 2019 and – following a year’s absence – returned to the series in 2021, seamlessly picking up from where he had left off by immediately advancing to the final in Sweden. He replicated that feat in his lone outing of 2022 – again at Höljes – overcoming an opening day disaster that left him all the way down in 15th in the ranking to ultimately wind up fourth.
