Janno Ligur made his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut in 2012, with a point-scoring finish in the Super1600 (now RX3) category at Kouvola. The following year, he piloted his Ligur Racing Škoda Fabia to three semi-final appearances from four starts, improving upon that to reach the semi-final stage in every event he contested in 2014, claiming a podium in Belgium and seventh in the end-of-season classification despite not entering all rounds.
2015 marked the Estonian’s maiden full campaign in the championship, while a further two rostrum visits in 2017 propelled him to a career-high sixth in the standings. He pocketed another podium in Riga in 2019 and – following a year’s absence – returned to the series in 2021, seamlessly picking up from where he had left off by immediately advancing to the final in Sweden.
