Espen Isaksætre made his FIA European Rallycross Championship debut at his home event in Hell in 2014, piloting a Citroën Saxo to the podium first time out in the Super1600 (now Euro RX3) category. He returned to the rostrum at Höljes two years later, prior to switching to a Peugeot 208 in 2017. He embarked upon his first full season in the series in 2018, achieving a third podium finish in Portugal and placing seventh in the overall standings.
After sitting out the truncated 2020 campaign, the Norwegian rejoined the fray in Sweden in 2021, making three further appearances the following year and advancing to the final on home soil. Isaksætre then got his big break when he was recruited by the pace-setting Volland Racing outfit to drive one of the team’s all-conquering Audi A1s in 2023.
