Sondre Evjen began competing in the low-budget Scandinavian discipline of folk racing in 2014, before stepping up to rallycross and making his debut on the international stage in the World Championship-supporting RX Lites series two years later.

A breakthrough victory in Latvia at the end of that season secured him sixth in the standings, and he remained a leading contender as the championship transitioned to RX2, reaching the rostrum on four occasions over the following two campaigns.

Evjen advanced to the final on his maiden outing in Euro RX’s Supercar (now Euro RX1) category at the end of 2018 as he placed fifth in Rīga, paving the way to a full European entry in 2019 that yielded seventh in the title table with Kristoffersson Motorsport. A first podium finish the next year propelled the Norwegian to third in the chase for the crown.

He has simultaneously shone in RallyX Nordic with JC Raceteknik, placing third in the Supercar Lites battle in both 2018 and 2019 and replicating that result in the headlining Supercar class in 2021. Evjen rejoined the Euro RX field for the second round of the 2022 Euro RX1 season at Höljes – the legendary ‘Magic Weekend’.
