The Norwegian’s day got off to a difficult start when he and Kevin Hansen came together repeatedly in the opening heat race, but with a little help from newly-crowned KMS – HORSE Powertrain team-mate Johan Kristoffersson at the semi-final stage, Veiby went on to dominate the final from the outside of the front row of the grid.
His reward was a 13th podium finish in international rallycross’ top-flight – for the first time, on the top step.
