Visitors to Europe’s largest combined car,
motorcycle and kart racing event were blessed with sunny skies, and in addition
to enjoying a series of jaw-dropping demo runs from former World RX
podium-finisher Kevin Abbring behind the wheel of the all-electric PWR RX1e – pumping out the equivalent of 680bhp and a
staggering 880Nm of instant torque – they were also able to lap up 15
races across seven different categories.
Students from the University of Twente showcased
the electrifying potential of racing’s future with their 300km/h Superbike, while
guest of honour David Coulthard took to the track in Red Bull Racing’s 2011
Formula 1 World Championship-winning RB7.
The 13-time grand prix-winner also spent some
time with CE Dealer Team star Klara Andersson, with the Swede – twice a
podium-finisher already in World RX in 2024 – relishing the opportunity to introduce
Dutch fans to the spectacular nature of the dual-surface discipline.
“It was super-nice
to see David at JACK’S Racing Day and to speak about World RX, F1 and more,”
the 24-year-old enthused. “It was a really cool event with an amazing atmosphere
and so many people there.
“We had two busy days
with demo runs and exhibitions to showcase the future of the sport from the
electric side, while working closely together with the event’s social partner, redesign.life Foundation, which supports sustainable mobility
and zero-emissions motorsport.”
