Terpereau’s Essay outing the prelude to a full season in 2025

Jimmy Terpereau is looking forward to gauging himself against European rallycross’ crème de la crème in the opening round of the forthcoming Euro RX3 campaign at Essay next month (8-9 June), as the precursor to a bigger commitment in the series in 2025.

A front-runner on the national stage for many years – twice French champion, in Division 4 in 2013 and Super1600 (RX3) in 2021, and sitting third in the current Super1600 category standings – Terpereau has also contested a number of Euro RX events since making his international debut on home soil in 2013.

The Sarthe native entered five of the six European Championship rounds in 2017 followed by a full season in 2018, when he finished second in the Catalunya curtain-raiser and wound up eighth overall and best-placed French driver in the title table.

Terpereau’s last appearance in the championship dates back to 2019, when he advanced to the final at Lohéac, but the 37-year-old is now ready to rejoin the fray behind the wheel of a Peugeot 208 previously raced by Euro RX regular Ulrik Linnemann.

“I can’t wait to measure myself against the best drivers in Europe at a circuit that I know like the back of my hand and where I’ve won several times in the French Championship,” he enthused.

“It will be a challenge for both myself and my team, as well as a fantastic opportunity to gauge the current level in the European Championship before tackling a full season in Euro RX3 in 2025, which is my longer-term plan.

“I’m super-excited to be taking part in the European Championship again – especially in France. I’m hoping to show that with my new car, I can compete at the front on the European scene as well as in the domestic series, and my goal as always is to win!”
