Top Ten Drivers of the Year: Kevin Hansen (10th)

Beginning our countdown of the top ten drivers of 2023, here is the driver you voted into 10th position...

Kevin Hansen finished a career-high second in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2023, as he established himself as Johan Kristoffersson’s fiercest rival.

Stepping out of the shadow of elder brother and 2019 world champion Timmy Hansen, the Swede took the chequered flag second in the Portuguese curtain-raiser at Montalegre, but it was following the mid-season switch to ZEROID X1 machinery that he truly came into his own.

After ending Kristoffersson’s hitherto unbeaten SuperPole run on the opening day in South Africa, Hansen went on to pip his countryman to the top step of the podium a month later in Hong Kong as he recorded his third career victory at the highest level.

An unfailingly enthusiastic advocate for the championship and rallycross in general, the rapturous reception for the Hansen World RX Team star’s Hong Kong success spoke volumes for his growing stature and popularity within the sport.
