An established front-runner and event-winner on the FIA European Rallycross Championship scene, René Münnich made his seasonal FIA World Rallycross Championship debut in Cape Town this year.
Despite a complete lack of prior experience behind the wheel of the ZEROID X1 – run by his eponymous ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport outfit – the German was soon on the pace, and it was arguably only a jump-start in the semi-final on the second day in South Africa that cost him his first final appearance since Catalunya two-and-a-half years earlier.
Münnich joined the grid again for the season finale in Hong Kong, showing solid speed against his high-calibre adversaries.
