Kevin Hansen says fans can look forward to a ‘super-tight’ contest when the FIA World Rallycross Championship races into Hong Kong for the first time to conclude its 2023 campaign next weekend (11-12 November).
After taking the chequered flag as runner-up in both legs of the Cape Town double-header earlier this month, Hansen now sits second in the standings as he bids to secure his best ever championship finish.
To do so, the 25-year-old Swede – who competes for Hansen World RX Team – will need to maintain that form in the series’ inaugural event in the Asia-Pacific region. Spectacularly situated, the challenging 1,225-metre circuit in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront Event Space will be surrounded by water and skyscrapers, with the iconic Victoria Harbour on one side of the track and the city’s high-rise financial district on the other.
