Kevin Hansen led four of the five laps in the final on day two in Rīga last September, with countryman Johan Kristoffersson breathing increasingly down his neck. When the Hansen World RX Team ace jokered at the end of the penultimate tour, his Volkswagen Dealerteam BAUHAUS rival had just a single lap to make up the difference.

But then Kristoffersson did what Kristoffersson does best – he dug deep. He put his foot to the floor and nailed his own last lap joker to convert a 0.3s deficit into a 0.3s advantage. It might have been the Swede’s 30^th career victory, but the result still clearly meant a great deal to him, as you will see below...
