Montalegre tickets on sale

Fans looking to attend the opening round of the 2023 FIA World Rallycross Championship at Montalegre in Portugal on 3-4 June have an extra incentive to buy their tickets sooner rather than later, with a special 30 per cent discount on weekend passes until the end of March.

The Circuito Internacional de Montalegre – which hosted the very first World RX event in 2014 – will similarly raise the curtain on the series’ tenth campaign, the second of the sport’s new electric era. It is invariably one of the most popular stops of the season, with large crowds enjoying spectacular racing on the Vila Real-based track’s asphalt and loose gravel surface.

Since returning to the calendar in 2021, Montalegre has provided the backdrop to some epic duels between Johan Kristoffersson and the Hansen brothers, the most recent of which was shortlisted in the FIA’s ‘Action of the Year’ vote.

Fans wishing to see more of the same in June – complemented by combustion-powered competition from European championships Euro RX1 and Euro RX3 as well as a local kartcross support category – have the opportunity to do so at reduced rates for a limited period.

Not only has the event organiser maintained the same ticket prices since 2018 – beginning at just €25 for Saturday adult admission – but until the end of March, two-day passes benefit from a 30 per cent discount. That decreases to 25 per cent in April, and 20 per cent from 1-15 May.
