As Kevin Hansen emerged from the joker on the final lap of his progression race on day two in Portugal, he saw Johan Kristoffersson’s Volkswagen Dealerteam BAUHAUS RX1e flash past him – but he was not about to give up that easily.
With just a handful of corners remaining, the younger Swede spied an opening and fired his Hansen World RX Team Peugeot 208 RX1e boldly up the inside of the VW, catching his countryman unawares and triumphantly declaring afterwards: “Anybody wondering if you can beat him, there you go!”
