VIDEO: How to fend off a flying Finn

Over the course of the last lap of the final on the opening day in Barcelona last October, all race leader Timmy Hansen could see in his mirrors was yellow – and lots of it, as Construction Equipment Dealer Team’s Niclas Grönholm did everything he could to prise the door open and try to deny his Swedish rival a first win of the 2022 campaign.

In the end, Hansen – who lost out to Grönholm at the start only to leapfrog him in the joker – held on by just over half-a-second, the second-closest winning margin of the season. And as you can see below, it was anything but comfortable for the Hansen World RX Team driver as the chequered flag neared in Catalunya...
