There isn’t a lot Johan Kristoffersson can’t do behind the wheel of a rallycross car. The five-time world champion has pulled off some spectacular feats over the course of his extraordinary career to-date – from flinging it all the way around the outside of the first corner at Lohéac a few years ago to outpacing his rivals by almost a full second in the SuperPole session in Catalunya in 2022 – but in World RX’s inaugural electric event in Hell last summer, he achieved something that even he might have thought was impossible.

The middle of the grid is never the best place to start a rallycross race, but that is where the Volkswagen Dealerteam BAUHAUS star found himself in the final following an issue at the beginning of the semi-final. A less-than-perfect launch then left him on the back foot, entering Turn One down in fourth. As you will see below, he emerged in the lead...
