The Hansen World RX Team enters the second round of the 2025 FIA World Rallycross Championship in Höljes, Sweden, off the back of a strong start to the season.

Both Timmy and Kevin Hansen secured Heat wins in Round 1 at Lousada, Portugal. The pair climbed the ranks to the second row of the Final, and the Swedish squad looked set for a double-podium to kick off the 2025 campaign before carnage in the last corner of the race.

With Timmy sitting second in the championship standings and Kevin in fifth, World RX returns to Höljes, a staple of the rallycross calendar, for the ‘Magic Weekend’.

Last season, the Hansen World RX Team narrowly missed out on a podium across the Swedish double-header. This reflected a history of mixed results at the team's home race, but highlights include a Hansen 1-2 in 2021 and a win for Kevin in 2016 on his way to victory in the FIA European Rallycross Championship.

This weekend, the Hansen outfit will be battling the ever-changing Höljes weather. While this is an all too familiar challenge on home soil, there will be an exciting addition in the form of the KMS EV cars.

With KMS switching from combustion to electric after just one round of the 2025 ‘Battle of Technologies’, seven out of the nine cars on the World RX of Sweden entry list are showcasing the power of electric.

Kenneth Hansen, Team Principal at Hansen World RX Team, said: "It’s great to be back in Sweden and in Höljes. After a fantastic start in Portugal, with an amazing crowd, we are now coming into the ‘Magic Weekend’ which will also be packed with fans.

"For the team itself, we’re looking forward to our home race. It hasn’t been our most lucky event in the past, but with hard work that could always turn around. We believe the weather will be a bit up and down, but we’ll go out there and do the best that we can."

Kevin Hansen, Hansen World RX Team driver, said: "It’s exciting to be here in Höljes with the Swedish fans. The weather is looking tricky so we’re going to have to be on our toes all weekend. That means a lot of work for our mechanics and engineers, but also maximum focus from myself and Timmy as drivers so that we’re ready for any kind of scenario. I’m looking forward to the challenge and as always looking forward to the ‘Magic Weekend’!"

Timmy Hansen, Hansen World RX Team driver, said: "It feels great to be back here in Höljes – as it always does. The mechanics are already working hard on the cars, getting them ready for a challenging weekend. The forecast is saying showers, which makes this race even more difficult, but I’m excited to get started. Second place in the championship coming into this round, but that means little at this stage, so I’m just going to send it and push for another good weekend."
