Q&A
Who is your biggest rival on the World RX circuit?
No rivalry, but the man to beat is Petter Solberg!
What’s been your career highlight so far?
My European championship title in Touringcar is one of them, plus also my six appearances in X-Games and my first World RX podium in Canada 2014
Who was your biggest inspiration?
I have never really looked up to anyone - I have the philosophy that you can always learn something from everyone
What advice would you give to young rallycross drivers?
Don’t spend all your money on the car, it’s a cheaper “tuning” and more fun to make sure you as a driver feel prepared with plenty of tests and practice. I would say it’s not the man with the best car who is winning the races it’s the driver who has the best preparations
What’s your favourite World RX track and why?
Höljes. The track has everything: fast sections, slow and technical sections, proper gravel and of course a big jump!
If you weren’t a rallycross driver what would you be?
Working in my father’s mining company.
Who’s the funniest World RX driver?
I’ve never had a boring second when I’m traveling, hanging around or racing with him. But of course, always when you’re with him you had better watch your back because you never know what trick he is playing on you next!
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?
Easy one! Moose
What one item would you take with you if you were stuck on a desert island?
My supercar if I wanted to have a fun time dying, or a knife if I would like to have boring time surviving
Which three celebrities would you invite to a dinner party, and why?
Travis Pastrana, I’ve heard a few of his stories and I bet he has another 1000 to tell. Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura so he can help me entertain my third guest, which is Kimi Räikkönen, who I would like see laugh for the first time!!!
Tell us a secret?
I can’t keep secrets…
