Championship leader Johan Kristoffersson became the third different driver to set a fastest time at the World RX of Norway, round six of the FIA World Rallycross Championship, in drying conditions.

Sweden's Kristoffersson passed Team Peugeot-Hansen's Sebastien Loeb with a round the outside overtake in the joker on lap one of race four, and later overtook EKS's Topi Heikkinen when he took his joker. The biggest action of Q3 was in race five, where Timmy Hansen was forced to retire with big damage to his Peugeot 208 WRX after contact with Sweden's Mattias Ekstrom and Norway's Petter Solberg.

Ekstrom ran wide after the hairpin onto the uphill straight and touched Solberg as he rejoined the racing line, Solberg moving across on Hansen who made contact with the wall. Bakkerud won the race to be second fastest and Ekstrom was third to stay top at the Intermediate Classification. Solberg finished the race with sixth fastest time despite damage from the contact with Hansen, but dropped below his PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team mate Kristoffersson in the overall standings. Sweden's Kevin Eriksson set fourth fastest time for the second qualifying session in a row and moved into the semi-final positions.
