France’s Jean-Baptiste Dubourg, the four time Trophee Andros Champion, will team up with brother Andrea in the DA Racing team to compete as permanent entrants in the FIA European Rallycross Championship this season.

The pair will continue to race the Peugeot 208 WRXs they used last season in Euro RX, with JB Dubourg taking victory in the final round at Riga RX to finish the year as vice-champion. Andrea finished second in Latvia in a 1-2 result for the French team, his best finish of the season to finish P4 in the championship points at the end of the year.

Now the team and JB Dubourg are targeting the Euro RX title. “I’m very happy to be embarking on a new full programme in Euro RX, the playing field promises to be particularly high this season. My goal is to do better than last year, so to be European Champion is my priority target,” JB Dubourg said. “The European calendar is made up of five races, it’s a very intense championship that leaves no room for error. You have to be efficient from the first event, we saw last year that the points lost at the start of the season were difficult to recover.”

The DA Racing Peugeot 208 WRX has received updates through the winter. “We rely on continuity with the technical staff of DA Racing who have worked tirelessly throughout the winter to bring many changes to the 208 WRX,” the elder Dubourg added. “We mainly worked on optimising the front and rear axles and signed a new partnership with a different shock absorber manufacturer. We all have a lot of experience at the European circuits which hopefully will be key to success at each race.”

Andrea Dubourg enters his four Euro RX season this year and is keen to achieve his first Supercar win. "My goal is clear: I want to score victory. The level promises to be increased again this year and that already promises good fights. This winter the DA Racing technical staff have made numerous changes to the 208 WRX, we all know that a victory or a title is played out on small details and the work done will allow us to be more efficient in many areas,” Andrea Dubourg said. “The calendar takes us on very beautiful events, I’m already impatient to find myself on the starting grid of Q1 of the first round of Euro RX 2020.”
