Sweden’s Timmy Hansen set the quickest time in Q4 at the Bretagne World RX of France, round eight of the FIA World Rallycross Championship to turn his weekend around and take top qualifier position in the Intermediate Classification.

Lithuania’s Rokas Basiuska won Q4 race 2 with an early joker lap and was P2 in the session to move into P2 in the Intermediate Classification. Hansen will be joined on the front row of semi-final one by Norway’s Andreas Bakkerud. The Monster Energy RX Cartel driver dropped to third on lap one of race 5 in Q4 and finished the race in P4, behind Finland’s Niclas Gronholm, Sweden’s Anton Marklund and Kevin Hansen, with 11th quickest time.

GRX’s Gronholm will join Baciuska on the front row of semi-final two, in front of Germany’s Timo Scheider and Great Britain’s Liam Doran, who was P3 in Q4. Team Hansen MJP’s Kevin Hansen was third in race 5 of Q5 and was 10th quickest, he will start on row three of semi-final two, next to GRX’s Timur Timerzyanov, who was slowed by broken front-left suspension in Q4 race 3.

Finland’s Toomas ‘Topi’ Heikkinen and GCK’s Marklund will start from row two of semi-final one, with Latvia’s Janis Baumanis and Hungary’s Krisztian Szabo completing the grid, but at his home race, France’s Guerlain Chicherit will be first reserve incase any of the top 12 don’t make it onto the grid. The GCK driver challenged Heikkinen during their Q4 race but ended 13th in the Intermediate Classification.
