Sweden’s Robin Larsson continued his impressive form in the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar with a dominant victory at the Swecon World RX of Sweden.

Racing in front of his home crowd at Holjes, Larsson led the final from pole position and picked up the pace when Sweden’s Pontus Tidemand looked like he may challenge for victory with his Volkswagen Beetle at the middle-point of the final. Larsson’s third win from three events extended his lead in the Drivers’ standings, while main rival Thomas Bryntesson was forced out of the event with engine problems after Q4.

France’s Jean-Baptise Dubourg (Peugeot 208) finished third, his third podium of the year, with Hungary’s Tomas Karai (Audi A1), Germany’s Rene Munnich (Seat Ibiza) and Lithuania’s Paulius Pleskovas (Ford Fiesta) completing the final.

Pleskovas was P13 in the Intermediate Classification but made the semi-finals when Bryntesson didn’t make it to pre-grid, then made the final when France’s Andrea Dubourg was disqualified from semi-final two.

Norway’s Marius Bermingrud secured his first victory in the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Super1600 in front of Championship leader Aydar Nuriev, who had taken TQ (top qualifier) in the Intermediate Classification.

Switzerland’s Yuri Belevskiy completed the podium in a P2, P3, P4, P5 result for the Volland Racing Audi A1s. Russia’s Timur Shigabutdinov and Hungary’s Gergely Marton were fourth and fifth, but an early joker didn’t pay off for Russia’s Egor Sanin, who finished sixth.
