JC Raceteknik’s Robin Larsson is TQ (top qualifier) in the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar after day one at the Dayinsure World RX of Great Britain, the first round of the Euro RX series.

Sweden’s Larsson was quickest in Q1 and Q2, and then P3 in Q3 at the end of the day, when Hungary’s Tamas Karai set the quickest time with another Audi.

France’s Jean-Baptiste Dubourg, a former FIA World Rallycross Championship podium finisher, was P3 twice and P4 once in the three qualifiers to put the four time Trophee Andros Champion second behind Larsson after the first day, with Karai in third and Dubourg’s DA Racing team mate and brother Andrea in P4.

Sweden’s Thomas Bryntesson and Germany’s Rene Muennich complete the top six. WRC2 Champion Pontus Tidemand is just outside the top six, seventh in the Intermediate Classification with an Eklund Motorsport Volkswagen Beetle.

Sweden’s Daniel Thoren and Hungary’s Attila Mozer had a coming together at the end of the lap in Q2 and retired, and didn’t make it back to the grid for Q3.
