Speedmachine – which forms the British round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy – has announced two exciting new music acts: Dizzee Rascal and Basement Jaxx DJ Set.  In addition to the World RX action on the track, further car content includes Group B demonstrations and iconic cars from British motorsport company, Prodrive.

Tickets for the three-day event, which takes place at Silverstone from 25-27 May 2018, have today gone back on sale at

British hip-hop artist Dizzee Rascal will headline Saturday evening’s music line-up while popular electronic music duo Basement Jaxx (DJ set) will take to the Main Stage on Sunday with their infamous DJ Set taking festival-goers through BRIT and Grammy award-winning tracks from the last decade.

This latest announcement follows on from last week’s news that music giant Ministry of Sound Group (MOS) will take over Friday night, partnering with Speedmachine to form part of the weekend’s other music entertainment. Throughout Saturday and Sunday, MOS DJs will perform in the VIP areas.

Speedmachine will also host 11 spectacular Group B rally and rallycross cars at Silverstone. Fans will be able to get up close and personal with the legendary cars as part of a special static display.  They will also be able to watch some of the fastest, most powerful rally cars ever made as they battle it out on the newly-built rallycross track.

Furthermore, Prodrive will display a selection of its iconic cars from the very first 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS and MG 6R4 group B rally cars to Subarus driven by WRC legends Colin McRae and Richard Burns, as well as some of its more recent machinery.

The Players will be showcasing some of their hottest rides at Speedmachine – what started out 12 years ago by two friends Jay McToldridge and Car Taylor has turned into a brand that now has four shows annually both in the UK and USA.

On the e-gaming side, visitors to Speedmachine will be able to get behind the virtual wheel of a World RX Supercar as DiRT 4 takes over a section of Silverstone’s  iconic Wing building.

Finally, some of the UK’s best street food have confirmed they will attend Speedmachine including DJ BBQ, Beefy Boys, Crabbies Shack, Le Bao, Mac to the Future, Otherside Fried, Made of Dough, My Pie and much more.

Further content will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
