Norway’s Petter Solberg won the final race of Q1 at the World RX of Belgium in Mettet, round four of the FIA World Rallycross Championship to set the fastest time, beating his PSRX Volkswagen Sweden team mate Johan Kristoffersson in a one-two for the team.

Timmy Hansen also won his Q1 race ahead of his Team Peugeot-Hansen team mate Sebastien Loeb and was third fastest, almost two seconds behind the PSRX drivers. Norway’s Andreas Bakkerud was fourth after finishing second to Solberg in their race and Championship leader Mattias Ekstrom was fifth fastest, having beaten EKS team mate Toomas Heikkinen in their race.

MJP Racing Team Austria’s Timo Schieder saved a big moment over the Mettet circuit’s jump in the same race as Hansen and Loeb and is 13th in the Intermediate Classification, behind Britain’s Guy Wilks and America’s Ken Block. The Hoonigan Racing Division driver lost time behind Michael De Keersmaecker on lap one of his race.

In Q1 of the RX2 category, Sweden’s Simon Olofsson was fastest from Norway’s Glenn Haug and Thomas Holmen.
