Polish drivers Krzysztof Holowczyc and Martin Kaczmarski will both compete in the 2016 FIA European Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy (Euro RX).  Both drivers will drive a Ford Fiesta RX Supercar built by Swedish based squad Olsbergs MSE.

In January 2014 Kaczmarski took part in Dakar Rally as the youngest car driver in the rally history. His result, as a debutant, was also historical – he finished ninth in the general classification. Afterwards, in the 2014 season, Kaczmarski regularly placed on the podium of The FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup and in 2015 he became a rallycross driver participating in RX Lites Cup.

Polish rally legend Krzysztof ‘Holek’ Hołowczyc reached the pinnacle of his glittering career in 2015 when he became the first Polish driver to finish on the podium at the Dakar Rally.

Kaczmarski commented: “We treated the first season in RX Lites as an opportunity to familiarise ourselves with rallycross and to learn the new form of racing. Direct competition on the track and driving side by side was something completely new to us. There is no denying it - at first we received a serious beating, often from teenage drivers, but we were definitely hooked. Both myself and Krzysztof finished the season in the top ten. It was then after a year of competing and training that we decided to take part in Euro RX.”

Euro RX will run alongside five World RX rounds in 2016 with the first event taking place in Mettet in Belgium (13-15 May).
