LARSSON MOVES TO SUPERCAR WITH AUDI A1

TouringCar rallycross star Robin Larsson will graduate to the Supercar category this year when he will race an Audi A1 in a mixed programme of FIA World Rallycross Championship and Scandinavian events.

A new team has been put together around the 21-year-old Swede who will be able to call on some of the most experienced names in rallycross as he embarks on his maiden Supercar season.

Alongside his father, 2006 and '07 European champion Lars Larsson, the new squad will boast engineering and driving expertise from multi-title winning driver Michael Jernberg, himself an accomplished car builder and widely rated as the best driver never to win the European title. Prolific car builder Ingvar Gunnarsson brings his expertise to the team as constructor of the new Audi.

"It feels great to have so much experience in the team. The step from TouringCar to Supercar is a big one and I need to focus on the driving and learning those new skills so having a lot of good people around me to look after the car and the team is a big help," said Larsson.
