Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson continued his charge at the World RX of Norway, round five of the FIA World Rallycross Championship by setting the quickest time in Q3.

Kristoffersson won Q3 race five by seizing the lead from pole position and taking his joker on lap four to win the race.

EKS Audi Sport’s Mattias Ekstrom finished second to Kristoffersson in the last race of the session, but was given a five second penalty for contact with Norway’s Petter Solberg in the joker on lap one and dropped to 14th in Q3.

Team Peugeot Total’s Timmy Hansen was second quickest as Solberg also moved up to third due to Ekstrom’s penalty. Sweden’s Kevin Hansen won Q3 race four in front of EKS’ Andreas Bakkerud and was fourth in the third qualifier and is fourth in the Intermediate Classification ahead of Q4.

GRX Taneco’s Niclas Gronholm was third in race four and sixth in the Q3 order, with team mate Timur Timerzyanov winning Q3 race one and was seventh in the sister Hyundai i20. Reigning FIA European Rallycross Champion Anton Marklund won his race and was eighth.

Olsbergs MSE team mates Kevin Eriksson and Robin Larsson continued a strong weekend in 10th and 12th in Q3 and are ninth and 10th in the Intermediate Classification.

GC Kompetition’s Jerome Grosset-Janin set 11th quickest time in Q3, but Team Peugeot Total’s Sebastien Loeb didn’t take his joker lap in Q3 race five and was given a 30-second penalty, so ended up 23rd.
